It’s time for March’s Bird Whisperers’ and the bird this month is the Greater Coucal! These birds are native to India and Southeast Asia. They are associated with many a superstition, and their deep calls in the early morning were linked to spirits and omens. Their flesh was eaten as an old cure for tuberculosis. ⠀ ⠀ This month, I had a lot going on, so I only got in a sketch. So far I’m really liking where this is going, and will finish him up, creepy spider webs and all. ⠀ ⠀ #shannoneagleart #tinyworksofart #birdwhisperer #birdwhisperers #birdwhisperersproject #greatercoucal #spirits #omens #witchythings #witchysociety #bird #fauna #spiderweb #darkart #creepythings #gothic
