Tiny skulls! This is another of the mini skull paintings that was finished recently. This particular one is pirate themed with its little compass, and the flag of Edward Teach (better known as Blackbeard) painted on its head. A new set of mini skull paintings I’ve been working on! This one in particular is dedicated to Erzulie, a Haitian Loa of Love. A Loa is a spirit or goddess, and this particular one has many forms (almost like the triple goddess): Erzulie Freda the virgin, Erzulie Dantor of passion (also the patron loa of lesbians), or La Siren of motherhood.
